Supermarket Run 2017

This year's Supermarket Run was a milestone for Republic Polytechnic, as this event has been running for a decade and 2017 would be its tenth. Together with Pharmaceutical IG, Mavern, and Eureka, Conservation IG and their student volunteers hosted about 50 family beneficiaries for the day of fun and games.

In the morning, these families spent their time in the multi purpose hall engaging themselves in the games and activities planned for them by the organizing committee. Conservation IG had two booths set up; one that is a game to teach participants which materials can or cannot be recycled, and the other booth an Arts and Craft station where the children get to make a beautiful artwork of flowers using recycled materials.

Our student volunteers then followed them to a supermarket in Changi after lunch for a round of shopping, where they can put whatever they have learnt from the financial literacy workshop the day before.
