S.E.A Aquarium- Horseshoe Crab Conservation Campaign in conjunction with World Ocean Day

Date: 6, 7 & 8 June 2015

Venue: S.E.A Aquarium Resort World Sentosa

Detail: To raise public awareness of horseshoe crabs that can be found locally.Researchers from our school has also shared about the reason why they started on this horseshoe crab conservation research.

What we did:

- Briefly introduced mangrove horseshoe crab, Carcinoscorpius rotundicauda to the public and spread awareness on the threats mangrove horseshoe crabs face.

• Taught kids how to fold horseshoe crab origami

• Showcased the moults of horseshoe crab and educated visitors about their characteristic and anatomy.

• Gave out horseshoe crab bookmarks.
